How To Connect The Nintendo DS and The Nintendo Wii
| Currently there are just a few games that uses Wii and DS connectivity.. Pokemon Battle Revolution Along with the connectivity to the Nintendo DS games, a player can win Pokemon
from this game and transfer them back to their DS games. This feature allows players to obtain
Pokemon that are either hard or impossible to get without using a cheat device. An example would
be the Pikachu that the player wins as an award for beating the game. This Pikachu knows the moves
"Volt Tackle" and "Surf", attacks which are otherwise impossible to have at the same time, because
Volt Tackle can only be obtained through breeding, and Pikachu is not otherwise able to learn Surf.
Other Pokemon obtainable this way are Magmortar and Electivire (The earlier stages of these Pokemon
need to be traded while holding extremely rare items, magmarizer and electrizer respectively). These
Pokemon each require a special code to be entered before you can gain the ability to download them.
Only the code for the Electivire has been released. Along with the ability to download Pokemon onto
a copy of Diamond or Pearl, players can purchase items like certain Technical Machines, used to
artificially teach a Pokemon new moves, and evolution items. - Wikipedia Geometry Wars Galaxies The Nintendo DS and Wii editions of Galaxies can connect to one another wirelessly, allowing
players to unlock an additional Galaxy to play in both versions. Both editions of the game can also
transfer a version of Galaxies to a Nintendo DS via its Download Play feature. Retro Evolved is
included in both editions of the game, allowing the player to play the game as it was released on
Xbox Live Arcade (minus Achievements and Retro mode). Retro Evolved also supports the online
leaderboard feature. - Wikipedia
Animal Crossing Wild World and Animal Crossing City Folk
The character you play in your Animal Crossing Wild World game can be imported to play in your Animal Crossing City Folk game! See the Animal Crossing City Folk instruction manual for details!
Nintendo Channel
The Nintendo Channel provides all sorts of information for upcoming Wii and DS titles. In addition, it allows you to download game demos directly to your DS. You can download the Nintendo Channel for free by visiting the "Channels" section of the Wii Shop.
It is believed that in the future, you will be able to use your DS as a secondary screen or alternate input device for the Wii, as well as possibly download demos to the DS through the Wii Store. |
